AN ANCIENT HOLISTIC HEALING TECHNIQUE
Ayurveda has been one of my favorites holistic healing techniques. I strongly believe prevention is better than cure. Follow a diet and exercise regimen every single day and you will never be sick! Try all possible natural ways of healing first and have complete belief that you will heal naturally without side effects.
Ayurveda is one such system of natural healing originated in India thousands of years ago. Let me explain you what is the principle behind the system and how does it work.
The Principle
According to Ayurvedic philosophy, the entire cosmos is an interplay of the five elements -Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. These five elements are grouped in to three basic types of energy that are present in everybody and everything. These are vata, pitta and kapha. These are termed as “doshas” which means “impurity”. As long as the doshas are in normal quantity they maintain the harmony and balance in both body and mind. If they are out of balance they create a disease.
How does it work?
The 3 Doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha are the foundation pillars of Ayurveda. In a Ayurvedic way of healing, the healer will first identify what type of dosha the person has and applies a specific treatment to balance the dosha. It starts with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation to regain the natural balance.
